Oss. Je n’ai pu conserver le nom spécifique donné à cette plante, à cause du Colmeiroa buxifolia qui a été rapporté au même genre. Je me range parfaitement à l'opinion de M. Müller d'Argovie, qui réunit les deux genres Ælüiggea et Securinega en un seul, vu qu'ils ne diffèrent l'un de l’autre que par la direction des fentes de leurs anthères; il y a tout avantage à introduire dans la science de pareilles simplifications. Mais on verra plus tard pour quels motifs j’ai dû hésiter autrefois à prendre l'initiative de ces suppressions d’un certain nombre d'anciens genres de la famille des Euphorbiacées.
