SCIENCE holds the position in America that is held by the Revue Scientifique in France or Nature in England. lt reports on the progress of science with spécial référence to the most récent work of American men of science. A knowledge of the work being accomplished is essential to ail who wish to fv.llow the pre and this can be most conveniently and adequately secured with the aid of this journal. We believe that it is almosl necessary for men of science in Europe either to subscribe to SCIENCE or to provide for its présence in an accessible library.
