II. FORMATION OF NEW VERBS FROM NOUNS AND ADJECTIVES

The majority of newly-formed verbs are derived from nouns and adjectives ; those formed from nouns, as a rule, go by the first conjugation, and those formed from adjectives by the second. In examining the formation of new verbs it is convenient to divide them into two classes : i. Verbs formed sirnply by the terminations -er and -ir, and 2. Verbs formed by spécial suffixes.
