The most original feature of this Series is its careful graduation. The sixteen texts are divided into four groups, each including three narrative works and one dramatic. The groups correspond in difficulty respectively to the four years' course recently prescribed by the Board of Education for public secondary schools. Special care has also been taken to ensure that the intellectual standard of each book shall be on a level with its verbal difficulty.
