LE BARON, s'approchent du rosier, regarde attentivement le sol,

se relève et s'écrie :

Cardillo! Cardillo! (Rapprochant du fond.) Qui es-tu, toi, là-bas? Joseph! va me chercher Cardillo. Tobie! amène-moi Cardillo. (a cardnio, qui entre.) Cours, et trouve-moi Cardillo!

CARDILLO, venant de la droite.
