THE AMERICAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION, NEW YORK

August. 29th, 1913.

Dear Mr. Elias :—

... .1 regret more than I can tell you, that I cannot accept the invitation to respond to the toast of «The Farnsworth)). On the 6th of October occurs the Annual Convention of the American Bankers Association. This is a large convention and will be attended by 4,000 people. I am an executive ofïicer and shall be obliged to be in Boston a few days before that date, October 6th, so that I cannot arrange to be in Montréal October 2nd, much as I would like to do so.

January, 15th, 1914.

.... I did receive the Medal, which is very handsome, interesting and fine as a work of art ; also, received the engravings-all of which I wish to thank you for. They are certainly valuable to members of the Farnsworth family.

Very truly yours,

Fred. E. FARNSWORTH,

General Secretary.

COLONEL FREDERICK EUGENE IX FARNSWORTH, General Secretary of the American Banker Association,

New York City.
