SUMMARY

The present paper studies the calcareous sediments of lake Neuchâtel. The thickness of the annual deposit of mud has keen estimated by various methods (pp. 10 to 28). Precipitation of CO,Ca is tentatively related to variation of the depth at which is found the so-called « Sprungschicht» (pp.29 to 73). Some of the physical and chemical properties of calcareous sediments have been determined (pp. 74 to 87).
