‘ soon. ’ Les roses se passeront bientôt, The roses will soon fade. Note the phrases in which tôt is used : tôt ou tard, sooner or later ; trop tôt, too soon ; assez tôt, soon enough ; aussitôt qpe, as soon as ; sitôt, so soon ; le plus tôt possible, as soon as possible.
