Often the number of trials that the person challenged is allowed is indicated by en and fois : — Je vouscle donne à deviner en dix {vingt, cent) fois, I defy you to guess with ten (twenty, hundred) chances. Fois is often omitted : — Je vous le donne en dix, I dare you to do with ten chances. Render ‘I defy the boldest to do it.’
