16. — 3. Le prince de Galles, the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward, the eldest son of Queen Victoria of England, was born at Buckingham Palace November 9, 1841. He was married on March 10, 1863, in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, to the Princess Alexandra of Denmark. In the fall of 1860 the Prince of Wales, accompanied by the Duke of Newcastle, visited this country under the name of Lord Renfrew.
