And yet this heart though outraged so, Can nought but fond forgiveness show :
Then corne , — return ,
Nor ail its mercy epurns.
Think not that my heart demands A sacrifice too great;
It asks of guilty man but love And man returns but hâte, — Heedful of every passions nod ,
But deaf to me, his lord and God :
The more I press ,
He heeds my voice the less.
— Yes, we corne, sweet Jésus ,
We hearken to thy call And yield thee willing tribute Of love , — life , — freedotti, — ail , No more the world's, deceitful charms , Shall wrest thy children from thy arms ,
Nor Satan win Our hearts from thee to sin.
