)) You liave doubtless learned through^ the newspapers that on the ITth instant, a Gommittee was tormed to receive subscriptions to pay amongst other things, the cost of iUuminating the old Jesuits' GoUege.

» The Gommittee sat yesterday, the 18th instant, and uuder the powers conferred upon them, hâve added your name to the list of members, anticipa-

ling that you woiild Le williiig to lend your influencfv towards organizing a subscription amongst our Catholic fellow citizen s for the piirpose.

» Ist Of assisting to defray the considérable cost inciirred by the Archcvcchê for the Feast of the tst October (npwards of ê3,000.)

» 2nd Of illiiminating the old Jesuits' Collège on the 30th of September.

» 3rd Of completing the décoration of the streets. along the Une of the procession on the Ist October. and to provide for unforeseen expenditure.

» It is only fair thaï the citizens should do their part and show themselves gênerons.

)) To enable the résidents to contribnte to thèse expenses, we request y on to snbscribe liberally and withont delay, as there are only ten days left to prépare for the Feast.
