Conte de Noël

To many French children Christmas means three things: the midnight mass, the réveillon or feast after the mass, and the arrivai of Petit Noël, the Christ-child, who brings présents to ail children who hâve been good and obedient. Shoes are placed before the fireplace with the hope that Petit Noël will fill them with ail the longed-for gifts.
