The leader is printed in a German typeof exceptional ciearne»s and beauty.
The two Hôlzel picrures, Stadt and fVohnung, hâve been used as the basis of a séries of lessons on German life and ways ; and in connexion with thèse there are a number of passages of Imaginative prose and of poetry. The latter part of the book contains a simple taie, 'T)as l^otkehlchen. There is a very full glossary ; great care bas been taken to ensure accuracy.
In an appendix are several fairy taies and poems, which are not to be read as slowly as the Lesestilcke, but are meant to encourage learners to read for themselve». They are in simple language, and will présent little difficulty.
