The first part of this little book contains twenty stories suitable for treatment in class. They are followed by exercises giving a number of words connected with some subject of gênerai interest and "skeleton outlines " to be filled in ; hère a good deal of variation and extension is possible at the teacher's discrétion. The third part contains similar sections, with questions to be answered in French and suggestions for simple exercises which lend themselves to practice both oral and written. The last section contains a number of subjects for free composition, suitable for pupils in their third or fourth year of instruction.
