28. Heiligenstein, about two miles southeast of Mount St. Odilia. — Alsheim. Alsheim is the name of a village fifteen kilomètres north of Worms. Bazin may hâve borrowed this name and given it to some village near O bernai, for example Niederehnheim which answers to the description given on p. 175, 1.6.

30. vallée de Munster. Munster is fifty miles southwest of Strassburg. It is one of the most rugged and beautiful valleys among the Vosges.
