1. 13. Nemours. James of Armagnac, grandson of the Constable, 1437 — 1477. He was made Duke of Nemours by Louis, but joined the league against him. In 1470 he again plotted against the king. He was taken prisoner 1476 and beheaded 1477 by sentence of the Parlement. Nemours had been given as a duchy to Charles IIL of Navarre, but resumed in 1425.
