The liibrary of the Academy shall bc opon to the MeinborR and vieitors pononally introduced by them.

AcADENiciAVS and Associates of the Academy, rcsidcut in the City, bave the privilège of taking ont of the liibrary, for their own use, Roolcn and bonnd Volumes; but no Prints, Drawingfs Mcdals or Work» in loose nhectfi, shall be permitted to be taken from the Librar}* without au ordcr of the Council.

Ail Works to lie retumed within two weeks, and if detaiued more than that period, a fine of 6| cents shall bo cxacted for cvery day they are so detained.

Ail Periodicals, Nowspapera, etc. shall be regularly filed, nor shall they be permitted to be taken from the Lâbrar)'.

It shall be the duty of the Librarian to examine cvery bock or othcrwork on it» retum, and report to the Council any injury it may hâve sustniucd, which damage or injury shall be repaircd at the coRt of the raeinbcr by whom it may hâve bccn taken ont, who shall also bc liable in the amount of its full value if lost or matcrially injured.

The Librarian shall require a receiptfor every work borrowed, to be mado in a book kept for that purpose, in which shall also bc cntered the date of its retum, etc.

In ail cases of penalties incurrcd by losses or injuries to works, or fines for not rcturning them within tlie timc spccificd, the member to whom tliey may be chargeable, shall forfeit the privilèges of the Libniry until the samo be paid. ; |

No Works deposited for safe kecping in the Library, shall bc taken out unless by permission in writing, from their owners, which prohibition the i Council muy, at their discrétion, cxtend to any other works to bc so dc^ig- \ nated in the Catalogne.
