25. et l'on descendait au Luxembourg: we went down to the Luxembourg. The palace of the Luxembourg on the edge of the Latin quarter was built mainly in 161 5-1620 for Marie de Médicis. It contains, in a new addition, an extensive gallery of the works of the best living French artists. The adjoining park is one of the most beautif ul in Paris.
