en conférer avec Mgr. l’Évêque, et aussitôt que je Paurai vu, je m’enpresserai de vous le proposer. Je suis, Monsieur, votre très-humble serviteur, F,. MARTIN, S. J.

Noiice de feu Mr. R. Abraham, Rédacteur du Transcript.

We understand that Mr. Bibaud, Avocate, will deliver a Course of Lectures on Law, Civil, Provincial and Criminal, in the splendid building about to be opened by the Jesuits as Saint Mary’s College, Bleury Street. The Course wiil be a complete one, entending over two years, and will be delivered in the French language. Mr. Bibaud is the son ofthe venerable gentleman of that name, author of an excellent History of Canada, which, indeed, is the only one worthy to be called so, for Mr. Christie’s collections, however valuable, are only matériel pour servir. We have no doubt the lectures will be highly instructive, and the well known skill of the Fathers of the Sodality of Jesus in selecting preceptors, is a sufficient warrant that, in this case, they have made no unworthy choice, even if Mr. Bibaud were not himself favorably known.
