Verbes auxiliaires défectueux.

I can, etc. sauf thou canst, je peux etc. et I could, etc. sauf thou couldst, je pouvais ou pourrais.

On écrit en un seul mot I cannot, ou can avec la négation. I may, etc. sauf thou mayest ou mayst, je peux ou je puis.

I might, etc. sauf thou mightest, je pouvais*.
