15. In a similar manner, the second and third pers. sing., and the first, second, and third pers. plur. agrée with the object possessed, in gender and number, i.e.y their respective forms shown on p. 318, No. 100, are used, as the case requires, before nouns that are masc, or fem., or begin with an h mute, in the singular; there is only one form, in the plural, for each person, regardless of whether the object possessed is masc, or fem., or begins with h mute.
16. ADJECTIVES OF QUALITY: their masculine and féminine forms are given in the Assigned Vocabularies (pp. 250-291), as well as in the General Vocabulary (pp. 339-376).
As a rule, those adjectives form their féminine by adding e mute to their masculine, e.g. :
content (glad), fem.: contente occupé (busy), " occupée
17. The last letter of some of those adjectives in their masculine is e mute; in that case the féminine and masculine forms are alike, e.g. :
chaque (each), fem.: chaque rapide (fast), " rapide
18. There are adjectives whose féminine form is irregular. A full list of those used in this course is given on pp. 314-316, No. 76-87.
19. Adjectives of quality form their plural by adding s to their respective masculine, or féminine form, e.g.:
content (glad), plur. : contents contente w " contentes
occupé (busy) plur.: occupés occupée " " occupées
20. Some of those adjectives form their plural irregularly; they are given on p. 316, No. 88-92.
21. Adjectives of quality modifying more than one noun at a time are plural. If those nouns are ail masculine, the adjective is masc. plur.; if they are ail féminine, the adjective is fem. plur.; if those nouns are masculines and féminines, the adjective is plural masculine; e.g.:
Louis et Lucien sont occupés (Louis and Lucian are busy) Rose et Marguerite sont occupées (Rose and Margaret are busy) Louis et Rose sont occupés (Louis and Rose are busy)
