28. Madame de Staël, daughter of Necker (1766-18 17), was exiled by Napoléon I., and lived at Coppet in Switzerland. She retumed to France with Louis XVIII. Her principal Works are : " Corinne," " De l'Allemagne," and " Considérations sur la Révolution française."
