Ces j ours-là. Probably=fes jours où vient V orage

8. — J© n’ai plus de jambes n^ai plus la force de marcher, I am too feeble to walk.

14. — Avez-vous bonne vue. The student of French in noting such expressions as faire paquet, p. 36, 1. 25, imposer silence, p. 37, 1. 17, livrer passage, p. 37, 1. 20, as well as the more common ones avoir soif, faire attention, prendre garde, cannot but remark tendency of verb and noun to coalesce in a compound in which the distinctive noun force fades away, and with it the noun sign whether partitive or particular. In many cases the fuller expression remains side by side with the contracted one (cf. avoir intention, avoir V intention, to intend). So we may say Avez-vous la vue bonne [mauvaise] ? Is your sight good (bad)? or Avez-vous bonne [mauvaise) vue ?
