Hildkbrandt (Michael). — Hambourg, 1708.

Hiltz (Paul). — Nuremberg, 1656. Une « viola a gambe » de cet auteur, portant cette date, est conservée au musée instrumental de Nuremberg.

Hoffmann (Martin-). — Leipzig, 1680-1725. Célèbre pour ses luths et ses violes, ('/est à lui que Jean Sébastien Bach fit construire la première « viola pomposa' ».

Hoffman (Johann-Christian). — Leipzig, 172o. Fils du précédent, également renommé pour ses luths et ses violes. Il fit aussi des altos et des violoncelles.
