The worship of the Blessed Virgin and the saints is noble and grand. They are the friends ot God, they are privileged souls who have made themselves agreeable to the Lord. Their prayers are more perfect than ours; for that reuson, they may obtain from God what we could not obtain for ourselves, We do not adore the saints, we merely honour them, and this worship is couformable 10 reason. There will never be any body able to prove the contrary of what we are now saying. For th:s reason, deur children, be faithful to recomimund yourself daily to the Blessed Virgin and to the saints, ask them to protect you, they ure able to do s0 aud they will surely do it.

N.B. Les élèves retireront certainement de grands avantages de l'étude de ces versions. On pourrait les leur faire apprendre par cœur comine thèmes oraux; dans ee eus le maître pourrait donner la phrase française et l'élève répondruit en anglais.
