Thèse are small i6mo volumes, well bound and printed, and admi-. rably adapted for use in the classroom. Each volume is edited by a specialist, according to the gênerai plan adopted for the séries. This plan includes, besides the text, an introduction, a biographical sketch of the author, copious notes, and (in most cases) a vocabulary. The appendices by the gênerai editor include words and phrases for viva voce drill, sentences on syntax and idioms for viva voce practice, and passages for translation into French.
