LA CIGALE ET LA FOURMI
JEAN DE LA FONTAINE (1621-1695) is acknowledged to be the greatest fabulist in the literature of the world. He has drawn his material for the fables from a variety of scurces, but has transformed his models by his wonderful powers as a poet and an interpreter of character. Disguising his characters as animals, he has revealed the foibles of his fellow-men of his own age and of all time with wonderful grace, sly humour and ingenuity of moral reflections.
Eh bien! dansez maintenant ”
