FLEAS AS MEDIA OF INFECTION

À telegram from Mukden announces that yesterday Dr. Petrie, of the Lister Institute, the British delegate to the Plague Conference, discovered 36 fleas of very large size on 12 marmots. This is an important discovery and provides a probable explanation of the method by which the plague infection is conveyed from the marmot to man.
