Dear Friend :
As we are startlng for the Castle of Blois, which we expect to ^isit this afternooii, I hâve only a few minutes to give you. Wo are having a splendid time hère at Orléans. Frora my wlndow I enjoy a fine view of the river La Loire and the quaint suburb of the old city. Brother, who is still at Rennes In Èrittany, enjoys the place much and says he has a good time with our French friends there. As for Nancy, where we spent about a week, I hâve not much to say. I did not enjoy the place, because I had a bad toothatîhe. \Ve had to consult a médical mau, who calls himseif American Dentist, but has the most offensive Gascon accent. However, he must hâve read a good deal about America, for he enjoys speaking of the States, which he does very cleverly. Did you enjoy your excursion to St. Germain? X suppose you had a good time with tli« Dubois, who are always so kiud to foreigners. Well, I must stop now, not because I cannot think of anything else, as we used to say when we were children, but because I lack time. It is a pity, for I enjoy chatting a little with a dear old friend like you. Write to me at Tours, where we shall be by the 26th at the latest.
Yours cordially,
