Vitalis was carrying Joli-Coeur but we were walking. The next day we were very tired because we had (some) wooden shoes. We used to wear (some) shoes when we lived in the city. Fortunately Ussel was not far from the village. On the way Vitalis spoke in French to Remi who was a French boy. He always spoke in Italian to the dogs and to the monkey.
