An Act to amend an Act passed in the eleventh year of the Reign of his late Majesty intituled, ‘“ An Act to establish Registry Offices in tne Counties of Drummond, Sherbroke, Stanstead “ Shefford and Missisqoui, and to extend the “ provisions of the said Act.”

NU PRESS it is expedient to amend a certain Act passedin

the eleventh year of the Reign of His late Majesty, intituled, “ An Act to establish Registry Offices in the Counties of ‘ Drummond, Sherbrouke, Stanstead, Shefford and Missisquoi, and to repeal a certain section of the said Act” ; —Be it therefore enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Assembly of the Province of Lower Canada, constituted and assembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act passed in the Parliament of Great Britain, intituled, ‘ An Act to repeal certain parts ‘“ of an Act passed in the fourteenth year of His Majesty’s Reign, intituled, ‘An Act for making more effectual provision for the Government of he Province of Quebec, in North America, # and to make further provision for the Government of the said” “ Province ;” And it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that the eleventh section of the said Act, passed in the eleventh year of the Reign of His late Majesty, and intituled,— “ An Act to establish Registry Offices in the Counties of Drum- ‘ mond, Sherbrooke, Stanstead, Shefford, and Missisqoui,” which said section is in the words following, “ And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that every Registrar for each of the ‘“ aforesaid Counties, shall keep duplicate copies of all such books and alphabetical indexes, as are directed to be kept for each of ‘“ the Counties aforesaid, by this Act, which every such Registrar ‘ or his deputy or clerk, shall on before the thirty-first day of # December, in each and every year, convey + cause to be con- “ veyed to the office of the Provincial Secretary, for such purposes “ as to Justice it may appertain,” shall be and the same is hereby repealed,
