TRANSLATION
A day came, however, when Juliette was no longer delirious. . . She woke as from a long sleep. . . Of the past she had no memory (souvenir). She knew only one thing : lier little bed was comfortable (;'/ faisait bon dans son petit Ut) and she was happy.
...Maggie was so beside herself with joy at seeing at last a glimmer of consciousness in the eyes of her living doll, that she wanted to take her in her arms and kiss her. . .
Juliette, however, had forgotten everything, even her own name. . .
The two little girls soon understood each other {arrivèrent très vite à s'entendre), and could not be separated (ne pouvaient se passer l'une de l'autre)...
The day Juliette got up for the first time was a day of rejoicing (jour de fête) for ail the family, especially for Maggie...
A great problem occupied Maggie's brain. How should she name lier new friend?... Jack Hardy said : " Call her Luna, it is not long, it is pretty, and it will remind (rappellera) her of her country". . .
