A note to a French édition points out that the latitude of Turin is 45 degrees 4.25 min. ' “ y avait sans doute, une faute d’impression dans V ouvrage de ce père Beccaria.” J. B. Beccaria (1716-1782), a somewhat celebrated Italian mathematician.
