FLOWERS
Filial love in a cliild is tlie virtue which précèdes ail olhers. Thus Ihe primrose is Ihe precursor of ail the flowers of spring.
Flowers musl nol be toc much handied. otherwise their beauty will be spoiled. A mother ought tp make her child happy ; but should nol caress it toc much : the rays of the sun give a colour to flowers ; but when the former are loo scorching, the latter are withered by them.
